Dr. Angus (Gus) Juckes played for both the Brandon College Caps and Brandon Wheat Kings from 1948-1951.
Juckes was a key player from the 1948-49 Wheat Kings that lost in the Memorial Cup Final to the Montreal Royals.
He went on to become College Caps captain and act as a playing assistant coach under the late Jim Casey in 1950-51. He also served as senior stick for the class of 1951.
Following his graduation from Brandon College, Dr. Juckes played with the Winnipeg Maroons from 1951-52 while attending medical school. He later became a well-respected pediatric surgeon.
