A well-known name in hockey in Manitoba, Frank McKinnon played with the College Caps from 1951 to 1957. In that same time frame he also spent three seasons playing with the Brandon Wheat Kings.
McKinnon was Brandon College’s senior stick in 1954-1955, the same year he won the Western Canadian Intercollegiate Athletic Union scoring championship and the Jim Casey Memorial Award.
McKinnon is a Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame ‘Builder’, a Canadian Amateur Hockey Association Order of Merit recipient and former president of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
