Ross Poole played defence for the Brandon College Caps from 1962-1965. Although not a flashy player, Ross was very good at what he did.

In the 1963-1964 season, Ross helped his team hand the University of Manitoba Bisons their only defeat of the season. During his time at Brandon College, Ross was the recipient of the Jim Casey Award.

Along with being a solid defensive player, Ross was a true leader off the ice. His leadership skills behind the scenes earned him the respect of every one of his teammates. Ross remained actively involved in athletics and the arts in his lifetime.

For his involvement and contributions to the Manitoba Senior Baseball League, Ross was the recipient of the Ab Richardson award and was made a lifetime member of the MSBL.
