BU Rec fall line-up unveiled

The fall line-up of BU Rec programming has been unveiled, just in time for the new school year. The Healthy Living Centre will be home to intramurals, rec and sport clubs, and a tremendous line-up of health and fitness classes.

Registration is now open for an expanded selection of fitness classes, as well as the popular returning recreation activities. BU Rec offers something for all levels of experience.

BU Rec programming will be free to any interested participants as part of the HLC's "Try it for Free". BU Rec programs will be free the week of September 14-18.

"We're very excited to build on the success of our programs from last year.  The incredible support from students and community members has made offering more programs possible this year," says BU Rec Director Gil Cheung.

"BU Rec will be adding an H.I.I.T class twice a week, and a shred and shine class that will be an active boot camp for all fitness levels.  We are committed having the best instructors and programming in Westman, while offering some of the lowest prices anywhere.  There really is something for everyone, and we strongly encourage anyone interested to come join us and discover their best self."

BU Rec is open to all BU students, faculty and staff, as well as HLC members and the general public. BU students can take part in all intramurals for free with a valid student ID.

"Intramural activities were a hit last year, with a buzz around campus that was great to be a part of.  We will continue to offer volleyball, basketball, hockey, and soccer with all of these being free for students," Cheung adds. "If you have a full team, or you are a 'Free Agent' looking for a team to be placed on, we will make sure you are taken care of.  Intramurals is a huge part of what we do at BU Rec, to have the students taking part and being active in a social environment is a valuable part of their University experience."

Visit the BU Rec website to learn more about each program and the cost of classes, as well as to register online.

Participants may also register at the Customer Service desk of the Healthy Living Centre.
