CASSIE COOKE had lots of hype surrounding her arrival in Brandon. The former All-Canadian came to BU in September and immediately made her impact felt, leading the 'Cats in most offensive categories and minutes played.

The third-year guard transferred to Brandon from Cape Breton University where in her one previous season she was one of the best players in the country, leading the nation in scoring. In her first games as a Bobcat, she picked up right where she left off, averaging 21.4 points per game in 10 pre-season contests.

In her first Canada West conference game this past Friday the Westminster, Maryland product broke a team record with 34 points, the most by a Bobcat women's basketball athlete since the 'Cats joined the Canada West conference in 1999. She then followed it up with another 34 point performance Saturday.
