Souza made one ten-bell save after another in leading the Bobcat men's futsal team to the top prize in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference. The fourth-year Brazilian goalkeeper rose to the occasion with a sensational penalty kick stop in the closing moments to preserve a 2-1 win over the top-ranked St. Boniface Les Rouges in the championship game. He earned MCAC playoff MVP honours for his heroic efforts as Brandon claimed the futsal crown for the first time since 2023. Souza also won BU's monthly award back in October after being named a league all-star in men's soccer.
