DAN BOUTWELL will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest middle players to suit up for the Bobcats men’s volleyball team. His quiet, polite nature off the court is a stark contrast to his demeanor on the court.
Â
This was more evident than ever in the month of January as the Kenora, Ontario product led the Bobcats in hitting percentage in the month of January, and currently leads the Bobcats in blocks on the season, sitting fourth overall in the country with 86.
Â
Having played in the post-season in each of his previous four years at BU, Boutwell is entering the final regular season games of his playing career with a lot on the line. The Bobcats travel to the University of Calgary to play the Dinos, who are guaranteed a spot at this year’s national championship as hosts.
Â
For Boutwell and the Bobcats the goal is clear, a weekend sweep and they’re in the playoffs.
