TAYLOR BLUE has played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Bobcats soccer program. His on-field control and management of the game matches his off-field leadership.
 
“He’s a strong player and a leader,” coach Terry McGonigle recently told Chris Jaster of the Brandon Sun. “He leads by example and gets in and does the dirty work, the tough tackles. He won’t give in.”
 
“He has a good attitude to encourage the other players to do the best they can. He’s a complete package and I’m happy to have him for the team.”
 
Blue is currently tied for second on the Bobcats in scoring (2). His second goal came on a beautiful free kick from 25 yards against Assiniboine Community College, sealing the Bobcats first win in program history.
 
The 21 year-old was a member of last year’s Bobcats club squad that competed in exhibition contests across the province. The 5-foot-11 midfielder instantly gave credibility to the team, as his skill and ability helped grow the program to where it is today. Blue has played in every minute of all five of BU’s MCAC contests this year.
 
Blue is a second-year Bachelor of Science student at BU who also has international athletic experience. In 2008 he competed in the world junior racquetball championships.
