Jonathan RangeĀ is proving to be a big part of the BU men's basketball team's continued success this season. Range has had some big performances in leading the Bobcats to a 6-4 record against some of the conference's toughest competition.
Ā
Range has finished every conference game this season in double-digit scoring and has put up double-double performances in three of the Bobcats' last five games.
Ā
Those performances rank Range tenth in conference scoring (17.4 ppg), fourth in rebounding (8.9 per game), and tied for 11
thĀ in three-point percentage at 42.4 per cent.
Ā
"Jonathan has given us scoring and rebounding the entire year and has done a great job of adapting to a new country, a new university and a new team," says coachĀ
Gil Cheung. "Jonathan has been hobbled with a foot injury the last three weekends, but despite that he has had some strong games for us and helped us when we needed it most."
Ā
Range and the Bobcats have won five of their last six entering the break, which was kick-started with a big 69-64 win over the then #4 nationally ranked Calgary Dinos on November 18, which has proven to be the Dinos' only loss on the season.
Ā
Up next for Range's Bobcats is the December break, before resuming with a non-conference road game against Mayville State on Dec. 30. Next Canada West conference action for BU comes on Jan. 5 when the 'Cats welcome the Winnipeg Wesmen on Jan. 5 for the first of a home-and-home series to begin the second half of the conference season.
