Brandon University Athletics

Novell is from British Columbia, Canada and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Simon Fraser University. He attained his Masters of Science Degree from Lasell College in Sports Management. His working life started in the software and technology industry. He was a Producer for EA SPORTS, the world-wide leader in video games.

Novell is a life-long learner and teacher. He has worked in the sports setting with children of all ages. He currently teaches the Sociology of Sport and various activity courses in the Physical Education Department.  Novell is also the Head Coach for the Women’s basketball team at Brandon University. As a player, Novell played in Europe and also played for the Canadian Men’s National Basketball team in 2002 and 2003 (2002 World Championships, 2003 Pan Am Games, 2003 Olympic Qualifiers).
