Grant is entering his seventh year as head coach of the men’s volleyball team, for which he had previously been an Assistant coach since the team's inception in 2005. Grant is a fully certified NCCP Level III Volleyball Coach and has a Master's Degree in Sport Science with an emphasis in Sport Psychology. He has coached at junior and senior high school levels, winning the AAA Championship with the Neelin Spartans in 1999. In 2006, Grant had the opportunity to be an assistant coach with the Youth Men's National Team. Grant has coached in the Provincial Team program as an assistant, capturing a bronze medal with the 2001 Canada Games team and as head coach of the silver medalists MB midget team in 1999. Grant also started the volleyball program for the Assiniboine Community College Cougars in 2000. Grant was also named the MVA Developmental Coach of the Year in 2001.
His acheievements with the Bobcats include leading the program to its first Canada West conference title in 2013, as well as a CIS bronze medal that same season, to go with three consecutive Canada West Final Four appearances. Grant was also named Canada West Coach of the Year following the 2014-15 season.
In the public school system, Grant taught for 19 years in Brandon School Division, at Harrison Middle School, Neelin High School and King George School.
In the community, Grant is a head coach wtih the Brandon Knights AAA baseball program and is the Director of the Brandon Volleyball Club.
