Box Score WINNIPEG - Despite a valiant effort by the Bobcats women's basketball team, the 'Cats fell to the host University of Manitoba Bisons Saturday night 62-53.
The Bisons jumped out to a 21-2 run to start the game and kept the lead throughout. While the zone defence
played by the Bobcats gave the home side some trouble last game, Manitoba came out prepared and picked apart the zone with sharp passes and three point shooting.
Brandon came out playing man defence in the second half to slightly cut into the Bison lead.
Guard Robyn Eyer led the way for the home side, scoring 17 and coming all from her 5-8 shooting from the three point line. Bisons forward Brittany Koop put together a solid game scoring 16 points and coming up only three rebounds shy of a double-double.

Jaynell Gillett led the losing side with 18 points. Forward
Elsa Langill chipped in with 13 and nine boards.
Manitoba hounded the Bobcats on defence, forcing 28 turnovers, with 13 coming from steals. When not forcing turnovers, the Bisons were making life tough for Brandon in the offensive end, holding the away side to only 29 per cent shooting from the field.
The Bobcats will face the University of Winnipeg Wesmen in a home-and-home starting at the Duckworth Centre on Thu., Nov. 15. The second game will be played at Brandon University on Sat., Nov 17.

Regina to face the Cougars on Fri., Nov 17 and Sat., Nov 18.
