BRANDON - The Winnipeg Wesmen made it two in a row with a 71-53 win over the Brandon Bobcats in the first Canada West league basketball game played in BU's brand new Healthy Living Centre.
The Bobcats got off to their best start of the season, keeping up with Winnipeg for most of the first quarter, but the more experience Wesmen prevailed.

Chantel Gaslard each finished with nine points a piece.
First-year forward Lauren Anderson finished with a game-high 15 points for the Wesmen, while Brandon product Tia Coulter put up 10. Third-year guard Stephanie Kleysen finished two points shy of a double-double (8 points, 10 rebounds).
The win improves the Wesmen to 2-4, while Brandon remains winless at 0-6. Up next for Winnipeg is a west-coast swing trip in which they'll play Thompson Rivers and the University of Fraser Valley. The Bobcats will make a trip to central B.C. to play UBC-Okanagan and Thompson Rivers.
