Bobcats out-paced by Pandas

Box Score BRANDON – The #5 Alberta Pandas jumped to an early lead and didn't hold back winning 65-30 over the host Brandon Bobcats.
 
Alberta jumped to an early 20-9 lead after the first quarter, and then held Brandon to even fewer points in each remaining quarter.
 
The Pandas held the Bobcats to their lowest point total so far this season as the 'Cats struggled to find the basket. Brandon had a lot of open looks but couldn't get shots to fall hitting only nine of 68 shots from the field, good for 13.2% from the floor.
 
The Pandas on the other hand shot 34.5%, led by Jessilyn Fairbanks' team-high 11 points. Renee Byrne and Sally Hiller put up 10 points each, while Kelly Lyons pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.
 
The Bobcats were led by Cassie Cooke's game-high 13 points.
 
With the win the Pandas improve to 3-2 on the season, while Brandon remains winless at 0-5.
 
The two teams will meet again Saturday night in Brandon. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
