Box Score BRANDON - Fans of the Bobcats women's basketball team were confident the streak would be ended this season, and it ended in style Friday night in Prince George. The 'Cats picked up their first conference win in three years with a 76-69 win over the UNBC Timberwolves.
This marks the first win for the Bobcats women's baketball team since February 5, 2010 when they beat the Calgary Dinos 75-66 at home.
It's the first road-win for the 'Cats since February 9, 2008 when they beat the Winnipeg Wesmen 70-60.
Four Bobcats finished in double-digit scoring, led by third-year guard
Kaela Cranston who put up 20 points, 15 of which cam from beyond the arc.
Cassie Cooke put up a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds to go along with seven steals and six assists.
Ambrea McDonald-Okoro had 15 points while
Aleah Bridges contributed 10 points and six assists.
The 'Wolves were led by Mavia Nijjer's 20 points. Jen Bruce added 17 points in the loss.
The win moves Brandon's record to 1-6 on the season.
