Box Score BRANDON – The Brandon Bobcats had their three-game winning streak snapped, dropping a 58-54 decision to the visiting Winnipeg Wesmen Thursday night in Brandon.
Despite being held scoreless in the second quarter, and trailing by 15 to start the fourth quarter, the 'Cats battled back to come within two points with only 45 seconds remaining in the game. They were unable to catch the Wesmen and lost by four points.
Kaela Cranston had a stellar night for the Bobcats scoring 23 points, which includes seven three-pointers.
Cassie Cooke added 13 points and five rebounds.
Stephanie Kleysen led the way for the Wesmen, notching a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Megan Noonan chipped in with 16 points, while Danielle Baril added eight points and 16 rebounds.
With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 5-10, while the Westmen sit at 7-8.
Both teams will face off again in a rematch Saturday January 25
th in Winnipeg at the Duckworth Centre.
