KAMLOOPS, B.C. - The Bobcats struggled to find any rhythm at the right times on Saturday night as the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack picked up a 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 26-24) win.
The Bobcats were competitive in each set but could mount any momentum when needed.Â
"The games are really close and Thompson Rivers just found a way to finish at the end," says Bobcats coach
Lee Carter.
"Olga (Savenchuk)Â finds a way to score when they need to score. We have a young team. They are trying. We got a lot of players in to play in a lot of different situations. They are learning and that is what you want with a young team. We just keep building. That is what the season is about."
The Bobcats were led yet again by
Nikala Majewski's 13 kills while
Rayvn Wiebe wasn't far behind with 12 kills.
Alexa Shoults had a team-high 29 assists to go with five digs.
The WolfPack were led by Kendra Finch's 15 kills while Savenchuk and Gabriella Podloski each finished with 10 kills.
With the win TRU moves to 10-10 on the season while Brandon falls to 4-18.
The Bobcats return home to enjoy a bye weekend before closing out the season at home against the MacEwan Griffins on Feb. 16 & 16 at the Healthy Living Centre.
