Emily Van mol has taken everything the hard-hitting sport of rugby has dished out and keeps coming back for more.
The gritty Bobcat winger is reaping the rewards of overcoming a broken ankle and collarbone that derailed her 2025 season.
Van mol has been named the Prairie University Women's Rugby Conference (PUWRC) Player of the Week following a four-try performance against Saskatchewan to cap off the regular season on October 17.
"Emily has proven herself time and time again," said head coach Brian Yon. "After battling injuries last season, she has bounced back to become one of our most consistent players. We're extremely pleased with her on-field performance and expect her to play a key role in the upcoming championships."
The Pilot Mound, Man., product's team-leading six tries helped Brandon secure second place in the standings with a 3-1 record.
Van mol and her teammates are off to Calgary this week to compete in the PUWRC championship. The Bobcats will be looking to take the next step after finishing runner-up for the league title last year.
