The Healthy Living Centre is the place to be for recreation and sport enthusiasts.
Here's the list of intramural sports being offered in fall of 2018:
Co-Ed Adult Basketball (BU Students Only)
Full court co-ed basketball action in a league that will be geared towards all skill levels. From the player who will do anything for a free t-shirt, to the student who is just looking to get a run in, this league is for you! Restrictions may apply on the number of former/current U SPORTS players on court. Register as a team online or join individually and be picked up from our "Free Agent" pool. Whatever the skill level, this league is for you.
Days: Mondays at 8 pm & Wednesdays at 9 p.m.

Co-Ed Adult Volleyball (BU Students Only)
Get ready to bump, set and spike! Indoor court recreational volleyball at its best. Co-ed event where you and fellow students compete twice a week and is for all skill levels. This league allows you to play your fellow students, and you will be grouped with teams with similar skill level, and be guaranteed to have a great time! Come on out and join in the action!
Days: Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

Co-Ed Adult Soccer (BU Students Only)
Co-ed indoor soccer is now being offered through BU Rec. The fast paced action will be offered each week so please register online. If you are registering an entire team, please include the team name. If you are a "Free Agent" looking for a team, please just sign up with your name. The games will be full of action every week. The league is tailored for all skill and experience levels.
Days: Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

RULES & REGULATIONS
Defaults
A default occurs when a team plays with fewer than the minimum number of players.
Postponement
Postponements should be rare and they will be granted only under special circumstances. The request should be given a minimum of one week notice. Postponed games will be rescheduled for a later date by the convenor of that sport. If it is not possible to reschedule the game, the team at fault will be charged with a loss rather than a default.
Protests
Individuals / teams registered in any sport in the Campus Recreation Program may formally protest the result of any game if that team feels a breach of the rules governing the sport or Campus Recreation program have been committed. Protests will be considered only for rules, interpretations, regulations, and eligibility complaints; not judgment calls by the officials. All protests much be submitted in writing to the convenor of the sport no later than 24 hours following that game.
Game protests must contain all pertinent information required otherwise the protest will not be considered by the Campus Recreation Administration.
It is strongly recommended that the team Captain who is registering the protest provide a copy of same to the sport convenor, team captain of opposing team, and game official, and a copy for their teams' reference purposes.
Responsibility of Participants
- Will become familiar with the rules of the sport;
- Will provide all required data for the team entry form: eg. name, student number;
- Will know the appropriate schedule of games;
- Will arrive at the game or match site well in advance and be prepared to participate;
- Will complete activity evaluation sheet and return it to Captain.
Conduct of Participants
The following violations will result in automatic suspensions:
- Striking, or attempting to strike an official
- Deliberate injury or attempt to injure
- Consumption of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or narcotics (Under the influence at the time of activity)
The following violations will result in automatic ejection from the game:
- Swearing and profane language
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
League Play
- A maximum number of players per roster will be specified in the rules of each specific intramural sport.
- Each player may register with one team only.
- In the rules of each specific intramural sport will be detailed the minimum number of players required for a game to be played and forfeiture to be avoided.
Play-offs
- To be eligible for the play-offs, players much have actively participated in a specified number of the team's league games.
Duration
- The duration of the games is established in the rules for each specific intramural sport.
- If overtime is to be played, it will be clearly established in the rules for each specific intramural sport.
Play
- Players who fight may be banned from play for the remainder of the season.
- Swearing will not be tolerated during any Campus Recreation sponsored activity.
- Special considerations and rules for each specific intramural sport fall under the heading "Play". These may include rules regarding positional play, conduct, or special situations.
Penalties
- Violations and the resulting penalty will be detailed for each specific sport.
- Failure to provide officials when schedules to do so will be severely penalized, as detailed in the rules for each specific intramural sport.
- A default will be given to any team that has fewer than the number of players required to play, as is established in the rules for each individual sport.
- A specified number of defaults and/or requests to postpone games will result in the team being expelled from the league and forfeiture of the Performance Bond.
Scoring
- The methods of scoring, the corresponding number of points, and any special scoring circumstances will be detailed in the rule for each specific intramural sport.
Officiating
- Any special circumstances regarding officiating will be detailed in the rules of each specific intramural sport.
Team Responsibilities
- Each team is responsible for a Performance Bond and/or fee, the amount of which is specified in the rules of each specific intramural sport. The bond will be refunded, less an administration fee of $5.00, provided all rule and regulations are abided by.
- Team rosters, detailing each members' name, address, telephone number and student number and student status, must be complete and handed in to the Sport Convenor prior to the Captains' Meeting. Any team with players who are not students must pay the non-student participation fee at the Captains' Meeting.
- Each team is responsible for being familiar with the rules for their specific intramural sport as well as the common rules that govern and guide all of the sports under Campus Recreation.
- Each team is responsible for supplying officials when scheduled to do so.
- The team will assist the sport convenor with equipment set up and take down before and after the game.
