Campus Recreation Refund Policy

Membership Refund Policy:
All approved refunds will be pro-rated less an administration fee.   Refunds are permitted only if the following conditions have been satisfied:
a. Memberships are fully refundable within the first seven days of purchase, after which they are non-refundable and non-transferable.  There are no refunds on memberships outside of what is stipulated in this policy.
b. BU Staff must provide a letter from their Supervisor indicating they are no longer employed by the university and are moving away from Brandon.
 
Registration Refund Policy:
When a course is cancelled prior to the start date, a full refund will be issued to the registrant.
If a course is canceled after the start date, the registrant will receive a prorated refund.
If a registrant withdraws from a course before the start date, they will receive a refund less an administration fee.  
After the start date of the course, a prorated refund less an administration fee will be issued only when a registrant presents a valid medical certificate at the time of withdrawal. 
After the start date of the course, no other refunds will be issued other than for medical reasons.
No refunds will be issued when a registrant has been asked to leave a program.
 
Process:
  • Only permanent full time staff can approve the cancellation of a membership or registration fee.
  • Refunds can only be done through the HLC if the original payment was done by credit or debit card.
  • Refunds where cash or cheque was used for the original payment are to be done by cheque requisition. The refund will not be processed until 10 days after the original cheque has been deposited to the bank.  A copy of the BookKing refund invoice is to be attached to the cheque requisition.
