Biography
Has made an immeasurable impact as one of the most decorated Bobcats in BU men’s volleyball history in just three full seasons.
Was named a conference all-star and to the U SPORTS national all-rookie team in his first season, and another conference all-star selection as well as U SPORTS all-Canadian award in his sophomore season, but the biggest impact was to come in year three.
Viles was named both the Canada West conference and U SPORTS national player of the year following his outstanding season in 2018-19.
Viles has also represented his home country of Australia multiple times, in FISU World University Games and FIVB World League competition.
On top of his success on the court, Viles gives back to the community as a volunteer coach and has participated in the Brandon Firefighter Olympics – an event that educates Brandon youth on fire safety and prevention.
