SEBASTIEN STEIGMEIER after joining the Bobcats men's volleyball team last season as a red-shirt, and watching the 'Cats run at a Canada West league title and CIS national bronze medal last year, motivation wasn't a problem for the Swiss import. The 6-foot-7 right side clearly showed he was ready to play in the pre-season and first weekend of regular season competition.
 
Steigmeier helped the Bobcats to a 9-1 pre-season record, highlighted by a road weekend-series sweep over the Laval Rouge-et-Or, last year's national champions and the team that knocked them out of the national semi-final.
 
He then opened the regular season with a bang, recording double-doubles in both matches that gave the 'Cats huge home victories over the Regina Cougars to start the season at 2-0.
