Nikala Majewski has been stellar for the Bobcats women’s volleyball team in the first few months of competition, and has shattered some long-standing records in the process.
In the conference home-opener she set the Bobcat women’s volleyball record for most kills in a single match (24) before moving on to breaking a pair of impressive career marks in the month of November.
Majewski sits second in the Canada West conference in kills (205), kills per set (4.27) and points (230.5) and set the BU women’s volleyball record in kills and points in the process, surpassing five-year starter Teagan Hunter.
“Nikala has found another level to her play this season. We knew what she’s capable of, but she’s exceeded that so far this year with her work ethic and drive,” says Bobcats coach Lee Carter.
“In the last few weeks she has broken three long-standing records and established herself as our emotional leader and captain. She is very deserving of this recognition and we look forward to what she has in store for the second half of the season,” Carter adds.
