Turner-Cummer closed her Bobcat career in style, backstopping the BU women's futsal team to the program's fourth-straight Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) Final Four appearance and third with the Carman, Man. as the team's starting keeper for the indoor season.

Turner-Cummer led the Bobcats to a 6-1-3 regular season record, good for third in the conference standings.

"Simone has worked extremely hard over her three years with the women's soccer team and has become one of the best shot stoppers in the MCAC," says coach Scott Haddow.

"Over the last month of the season when we were hoping to improve our position in the league standings, Simone was instrumental in making that achievement possible. With her high athletic ability she often times makes the really difficult save look routine. She is a tireless worker and is often seen working on her game outside of team practices."

This award marks the second time Turner-Cummer has garnered the athlete of the month recognition after receiving the recognition at the end of last season as well.
