Philipp Lauter exploded on the scene to start the season, as the German middle put up some impressive numbers in his Bobcat debut. After helping the Bobcats to a split to start the season on the road, Lauter dazzled in the home-opener weekend. Lauter’s 23.5 points on November 5 were a season-high, which included seven aces (just one shy of tying BU’s single-match school record). For his performance in home-opening weekend, Lauter was named Canada West men’s volleyball player of the week. Lauter leads the conference in blocks entering the holiday break.
