Men's volleyball team remains perfect at home

Box Score BRANDON – Despite playing with a depleted roster due to injury, the Brandon Bobcats showed no ill-effects in making quick work of the Mount Royal Cougars. The 'Cats won in straight sets for the second consecutive night. Set scores were 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Sam Tuivai led the offense for Brandon for the second straight night as well, putting up 16 kills on just 25 swings, good for a .600 hitting percentage. Dan Boutwell was nearly perfect, putting up eight kills on just nine swings, while fellow middle Ty Moorman, starting for just the second time in his young career, finished with eight blocks.

Colton deMan had a team-high 14 kills for the Cougars while Jordan Parkin put up 13 kills.

The win improves the Bobcats record to 6-4, the same record as Mount Royal.

Up next for Brandon is a weekend home series against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies while Mount Royal will welcome the Thompson Rivers WolfPack.
