D.J. Jordan named tourney all-star; Bobcats finish fourth at Wesmen Classic

The University of Manitoba Bisons defeated the Brandon University Bobcats 77-75 in a thrilling third place game at the 48thAnnual Wesmen Classic. 

It is the second consecutive third place finish for Manitoba. A.J. Basi led Manitoba with 20 points, including five-three pointers. Alfreeman Flowers added 16. Wyatt Anders had a double-double consisting of 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Earl Thompson Jr led the Bobcats with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Manitoba trailed at the halftime break 42-38. Brandon outscored the Bisons 20-18 in the third quarter to take a 62-56 lead into the final quarter.

Basi came thru with clutch shooting in the final quarter to help Manitoba outscore Brandon 21-13 to make the final tally 77-75.
