BRANDON - The Brandon University men's volleyball team made quick work of the UBC Okanagan Heat at the Healthy Living Centre on Friday night.

The Bobcats swept the Heat in straight sets to boost their record to 4-and-5 on the Canada West season.

The set scores were 25-15, 25-22 and 25-18.

Roy Ching collected a double-double for Brandon with a match-high 17 kills and 11 digs, while teammate
Bruce Akubukaka was next with 13 kills.

Reece Dixon delivered 38 assists,
Jeremy Davies had 15 digs and fellow Bobcat
Daven Pascal put up five blocks, with all three leading the match in those respective categories.

Lars Bornemann was the top scorer for the Heat with eight kills and 10 digs.

Jim Bell and Alex Swiatlowski added seven kills apiece in a losing cause for  UBC Okanagan, who saw their record slip to 1-and-8.

The Bobcats look to sweep the series with Saturday's rematch at 6:45 p.m.
