BRANDON – UBC Okanagan defeated the Brandon Bobcats women's volleyball team 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-19) Friday night. Even with a fast pace and intensity the Bobcats could not find a way, as the Heat proved to be too strong at the Brandon University Healthy Living Centre.
Emily Oxland helped UBC Okanagan come out on top with 35 assists and two aces, while Brianna Beamish paced the offense with 12 kills on 32 swings. Michelle Jakszuk was efficient on offense, notching nine kills on 12 swings, good for a .667 hitting percentage. Kailin Jones had a match-high 10 digs.

Hope Schneider finished with 21 assists, while
Nikki Majewski had nine kills.
Shanlee McLennan had a team-high nine digs.
The win keeps UBC Okanagan's perfect record intact at 9-0, while the Bobcats fall to 3-6.
The Bobcats will look to make a comeback Saturday night against the Heat at the Healthy Living Centre. First serve in the match is scheduled for 5pm.
