REGINA - Brandon Bobcats' captain
Roy Ching led the charge in a barnburner five-set comeback victory for the BU men's volleyball team on the road against the Regina Cougars on Friday night.
The set scores were 20-25, 25-14, 24-26, 25-23 and 15-10.
Ching, who was named BU's October Male Athlete of the Month, set a new career record with 28 kills for the Bobcats.
Ching's mark of 28 kills also puts him into the school record books for the third most kills in single match, a record he now shares with former Bobcat great Paul Sanderson, who also holds the record for most kills in a match with 36.
Rookie
Reece Dixon delivered with a match-high 46 assists, while adding 11 digs for Brandon, who boosted their Canada West record to 2-and-3.
Jeremy Davies topped the match with 19 digs and teammate
Daven Pascal put up a match-high eight blocks for the Bobcats, who look to sweep the weekend series on Saturday night.
Andre Borgeaud had a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs in a losing cause for the Cougars, who sit with a record of 1-and-6.
