Despite the setbacks his team has faced this season, head coach
Gil Cheung is pleased with the way his team rose to the challenge in tonight's game.
"There's not a lack of effort or execution or preparation, but we cannot seem to move forward and it's starting to wear on our guys a little bit. But I think our guys are doing the right things and we will give it all we've got tomorrow night," said Cheung.
Cheung hopes that his team is able to find motivation to compete against the strong Victoria team again Saturday night.
"We need something to give us some kind of momentum, but our guys were focused. Our guys haven't packed it in. They are giving themselves their best chance at success," added Cheung.
The win brings the Vikes record to 13-4, while the Bobcats fall to 1-18.
Both teams will face off again Saturday night in Brandon. Tip-off will take place at 7pm at Brandon University's Healthy Living Centre.
