SASKATOON – The Brandon University Bobcats fell 90-65 against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in Saskatoon on Friday night in Canada West men's basketball action.

The Huskies shot 49.2% and outrebounded the Bobcats 43-26 to improve to 3-2 on the season. Brandon, who now falls to 2-3, shot 34.4% in the loss.

Saskatchewan started out the game on an 8-0 run and never looked back. The Huskies extended the lead to 21-2 late in the quarter and finished the opening period with a 22-5 cushion.

It was more of the same in the second quarter as the home squad continued to increase the margin. The Huskies took a 49-22 lead to the locker room at half and finished the third up 72-42.

Four of the five Huskies starters reached double-digits in scoring in the game. Jaylan Morgan and Matt Forbes posted a season-high in points with 18 and 15 respectively. The Huskies' leading scorer Shane Osayande led the way once again with 21 points and finished just a rebound shy of another double-double with nine. The Saskatchewan forward went 11-for-13 from the free throw line.

Kobyn Jopp's 12 points on five-of-six shooting.
Tyvon Cooper and
Girece Kazumba led the team on the glass with five rebounds each.

The two schools meet again on Saturday night.
