SASKATOON – The No. 1 ranked University of Saskatchewan Huskies shot over 50 percent en route to a 79-44 win over the Brandon University Bobcats Friday night at the PAC.
 
The Huskies finished the night 28-of-55 from the field, good for 50.9 percent. Saskatchewan was hot from beyond the arc finishing 6-of-9 from three-point range, after making four of their first five to open the night.
 
Saskatchewan improves to 15-0 with the win in front of a raucous crowd of 1,352 strong on White Out Night. In the process the Huskies improve their winning streak on home court to 31 games and make it 24 straight regular season victories. Brandon drops to 6-9 with Friday night's loss.
 
The Huskies opened up a 22-10 lead after the first quarter and grew the lead to 44-18 by halftime. The top scoring team in the Canada West made it three straight quarters with 22 points when they outscored the Bobcats 22-12. Brandon outscored the Huskies 14-13 in the final 10 minutes.
 
Laura Dally put up a game-high 17 points for the Huskies. The fifth-year guard hit on 7-of-12 attempts from the field and was a perfect two for two from behind the three-point line. The fifth-year guard also hauled in a game-high seven rebounds.
 
The Huskies found scoring from all of their starters on Friday night. Sabine Dukate and Desarae Hogberg each recorded double-digit numbers with 11 and 10 points respectively while Kelsey Trulsrud and Dalyce Emmerson finished the night with nine and seven points respectively. Megan Ahlstrom and Taya Keujer added eight points a piece off the bench.
 
Keisha Cox scored a team-high 13 points for the Bobcats on four-of-eight shooting. Lauren Anderson came off the bench to chip in with another four points while adding three rebounds and a pair of steals.
 
The Bobcats finished the night shooting 30.4 percent and committed 23 turnovers to just six assists.
 
The two teams meet again Saturday night at 6:15 p.m. at the PAC.
