BRANDON, Man. – Talk about picking up where you left off.
After a red-hot fourth quarter Friday the Bobcats missed just one shot in the first five minutes of Saturday in jumping to a 19-5 lead and didn't look back from there. The Bobcats ran the win streak to five games in a 90-73 victory over the Lethbridge Pronghorns.
The win improves the Bobcats win streak to five, as the squad now sits firmly atop the Canada West standings at 5-1.
The win also gives the Bobcats the team's first sweep over Lethbridge in nearly a decade, as the last time the 'Cats swept the Pronghorns was the final weekend of games in the old BU Gym back in 2012.
Anthony Tsegakele continued his torrid pace to start the season, registering 30 points and 13 rebounds as well as four steals in the win.
Khari Ojeda-Harvey shot 6-for-11 from the floor for 19 points while Jahmaal Gardner finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Aussie import Jack McDonald shot 3-for-4 from beyond the floor for nine points to go with his six rebounds.
The Pronghorns were led by Jeff Rodenhutskors team-high 16 points, which came in just 14 minutes off the bench.
Angelo Mbituyimana finished with 13 points and Avery Hutcheson had 11 points.
The loss drops Lethbridge's record to 1-5 as the 'Horns return home and get set to host the Thompson Rivers WolfPack weekend.
The Bobcats will travel to Saskatoon next weekend to play a weekend set with the Saskatchewan Huskies.
