Bisons play spoiler on seniors night

BRANDON, Man. – Adrianna Proulx played possessed in her final home game as a Bobcat but the visiting Manitoba Bisons came away with a 74-61 win in Brandon's final home game of the season.

Proulx subbed off to a rousing ovation from hear team mates and the crowd, and had another impressive performance finishing just shy of a double-double.

In a carbon copy of the game one a week ago, the Bobcats shot well through the first three quarters before the shots failed to fall in the fourth, meanwhile Manitoba's Taylor Randall stayed hot, hitting two timely threes en route to her game-high 21 points.

The score wasn't the only bittersweet moment, as Proulx was carried off the court by her team mates after another great performance.

The Thompson, Man. product played with purpose, putting up 13 points and pulling down nine rebounds. Proulx's slashing ability and constant driving through the lane drew eight Manitoba fouls,

The Bisons were in foul trouble late Deirdre Bartlett and Emerson Martin fouled out in the fourth but managed to hang on.

Reetta Tulkki had another impressive performance, finishing with a team-high 16 points to go with seven rebounds.

Piper Ingalls shot 50 percent from the beyond the arc (3-for-6), finishing with 12 points.

Manitoba's Lovisa Fjellner finished just shy of a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.

The win moves Manitoba's record to 4-12 as the Bisons conclude the conference season. The Bobcats are 0-14 and will wrap up conference play in Regina next Thursday and Friday.
