BRANDON, Man. – The Bobcats closed the book on the Canada West regular season with a decisive 72-60 win over the Manitoba Bisons Sunday afternoon at the Healthy Living Centre.
Eli Ampofo opened the game with back-to-back three-pointers, the second of which was from well beyond the arc. To end the game, Ampofo was every where on the defensive end, helping seal the victory for the Bobcats.
Ampofo finished with 14 points in being named player of the game.
Anthony Tsegakele lead all scorers with 18 points. The sophomore sensation also pulled down nine boards and had six steals in just 24 minutes of action after drawing his second technical in the third quarter.
Sultan Haider Bhatti had a double-double, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds while
Jahmaal Gardner 12 points and five assists.
James Wagner led the Bisons with 17 points.
The win improves Brandon's record to 2-14 as the team wraps up the regular season and gets set to head to Alberta for the Canada West playoff tournament that runs March 3-5.
