EDMONTON - Veteran Bears Abdullah Shittu and Brandon Meiklejohn were unstoppable on offence, combining for 42 points in a 90-62 Alberta win over the Brandon Bobcats.
Shittu and Meiklejohn made 16 of their 26 combined shots, with Shittu also adding eight rebounds. Julian Vaughns added 12 points, with Lars Ishimwe recording a game-high 13 rebounds and six assists.
The win for the Bears is their fourth-straight, who are now 10-5 in conference play.
The loss for Brandon is their fourth in a row, who fall to 8-7 following a stellar start to their season.
Jahmaal Gardner led the 'Cats with 13 points on 4/9 shooting, with
Khari Ojeda-Harvey adding 11. Brandon struggled on offence all game, making just 33% of their shots from the floor, and only going 8/28 from beyond the arc in the loss.

- Alberta finished Friday night shooting an efficient 51%, and were led by a 43% clip from deep (13/30).
- The Bears also led 36-18 in points in the paint, leading for 35:32 after a sloppy start.
