Bobcats claim back-to-back titles

Goalkeeper Josie Black held down the fort in a critical moment to propel the Bobcat women's soccer team to a second straight Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference title.

Black made a massive stop on a penalty kick as the BU women's soccer team prevailed 2-1 over the Providence Pilots on Friday at Winnipeg North Soccer Complex.

Kenadie Janzen scored on a BU penalty kick under 10 minutes into the game and league all-star Keashae Masters added another goal on a magnificent header not too long after.

Black was named playoff MVP with her championship-clinching save coming with just 10 minutes to go.

The Bobcats advance to Canadian college nationals in Squamish, B.C. from November 5-8.
