The Brandon University Bobcats men's soccer team delivered a spectacular performance on Saturday afternoon at the HLC field, routing the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 6-0 to secure a powerful shutout victory.
The Bobcats' offensive firepower was on full display, with six different players contributing to the goal tally and earning the team a decisive home win.
First Half Control (3-0) Brandon established immediate control, opening the scoring quickly as TJ Bodunrin found the net (18:31). The attack continued minutes later when Bryson Haywood scored (35:51), assisted by Bodunrin. Before the break, Camilo Rodriguez extended the lead to three (41:50), assisted by Zachary Lamb.
Second Half Command (3-0) The Bobcats didn't slow down in the second frame. Victor Lamb scored early (48:14), thanks to an assist from Camilo Rodriguez. Bodunrin struck again in the 57th minute (56:26) with his second goal of the match, assisted by Zachary Lamb. Rodriguez finished the scoring barrage late in the game (88:39), assisted by Declan Hoad, sealing the dominant 6-0 victory.
Goalkeeper Matheus Souza earned the clean sheet, making 5 saves against 14 CMU shots to preserve the shutout. The victory moves the men's team's record to 7-2-0 on the season.
