Box Score REGINA - The Bobcats women's volleyball team opened the 2012-13 Canada West regular season with a tough 3-2 loss (25-17, 19-25, 23-25, 25-17, 13-15) to the host Regina Cougars Friday night.

The two teams exchanged leads and sets all night, including a fifth-set that saw no lead larger than three points, but the Cougars got three straight points to end the fifth and final set.

Chloe Reimer led the offensive attack for the Lady 'Cats, notching 10 kills to go with seven digs. Shanlee McLennan had nine kills while Tori Dakin picked up eight.

Starting setter Keillie Baker finished the match with 30 assists.

The two teams will meet again Saturday night to conclude the season-opening weekend series.
