Bobcats women's volleyball team bounces back with big win

Box Score REGINA - The Bobcats women's volleyball team bounced back to a big 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-20) over the host Regina Cougars Saturday night.

The Bobcats fell 3-2 Friday, and completely turned the tables Saturday, jumping out of the gates early. The Lady 'Cats never trailed in the first, then briefly exchanged leads in the second and third sets before completing the straight-sets sweep.

Statistically the Bobcats were much stronger Saturday compared to Friday, hitting .310 as a team.

Sophomore left-side Shanlee McLennan had one of the biggest matches of her young career, finishing with a match-high 12 kills (.348 hitting percentage). Victoria Dakin was also solid finishing with nine kills on 16 swings (.375 hitting percentage). Kellie Baker picked up 33 assists, while Chloe Reimer had a match-high 12 digs.

The Bobcats will now head home to prepare for the 2012-13 home opener next weekend as they welcome the visiting Thompson Rivers Wolfpack.
