Box Score The Brandon Bobcats men's volleyball team extended their winning streak to five matches with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-19) win over the Calgary Dinos Saturday night in Brandon.
The 'Cats stormed out of the gates, starting the match on an 8-2 run. The 'Cats didn't let up either, trailing briefly to start the second and third sets before coming away with a convincing win.
The Bobcats were particularly efficient on the offensive end, hitting .325 as a team. The 'Cats were led by
Sam Tuivai's 12 kills on 23 swings (.435 hitting percentage) and
Craig Lowe who finished with 10 kills on 21 swings (.381 hitting percentage). Lowe also picked up four blocks.
Greg Mann led the Dinos with eight kills, while Will Young came off the bench and picked up seven kills.
The win improves the Bobcats record to 8-2, while Calgary falls to 2-8.
Up next for the Bobcats is a weekend home and home series with the Winnipeg Wesmen, while the Dinos will travel to Saskatchewan to take on the U of S Huskies.
