Women's volleyball team earns split with Dinos

Box Score The Brandon Bobcats were looking to bounce back Saturday following Friday night's loss to the Calgary Dinos, and the 'Cats did exactly that, winning in straight sets 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-21).
 
The Bobcats were far more efficient than the night before, hitting .252 as a team, registering 45 digs as a team, and putting up 12 blocks.
 
Rookie libero Kendra Bommersbach had a break-out performance, registering 15 digs.
 
Sophomore left side Shanlee McLennan finished with a double-double, registering 10 kills and 10 digs. Junior middle Meaghan Robertson finished with a match-high 12 kills on 21 swings, good for a .429 hitting percentage.
 
Sarah Moncks had a team-high 11 kills for the Dinos.
 
The win causes the Bobcats to leap-frog the Dinos in the standings and sit with a 5-5 record while the Dinos sit at 4-6.
 
Brandon will face a quick turn around as the Bobcats will welcome Winnipeg on Thursday, playing in a home and home series with the second half to follow Saturday at the U of W.
 
The Dinos will travel to Saskatoon to take on the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
