Box Score BRANDON – The Brandon Bobcats welcomed Mount Royal University Friday night but were far from welcoming, making quick work of the Cougars with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-9, 25-23) win.

Mary Thomson made her first start at home in place of the injured
Kellie Baker and spread the floor well, amassing a match-high 36 assists and helping the 'Cats to a .348 team hitting percentage.

Victoria Dakin led things for the Bobcats with 11 kills on 20 swings.
Shanlee McLennan finished one kill shy of a double-double (9 kills, 10 digs), while
Meaghan Robertson added seven kills on just 13 swings (.538 hitting percentage) to go with four blocks.

The Cougars were led by Carolyn O'Dwyer's 11 digs, who also contributed seven digs and two service aces.

The win improves Brandon's record to 7-2 while the Cougars fall to 3-6. The two teams will meet again Saturday night in Brandon to close out the Canada West weekend series.
