Box Score WINNIPEG – The host Winnipeg Wesmen picked up a straight sets victory over the visiting Brandon Bobcats Wednesday night.
 
The Wesmen didn't trail once in the match, leading all three sets beginning to end. Set scores were 25-17, 25-23, 25-22.
 
The Bobcats were led by Sebastien Steigmeier's team-high 10 kills. Fifth-year middle Dan Boutwell had seven kills on nine swings, good for a .667 hitting percentage.
 
Winnipeg was led by Matthew Schriemer's 12 kills on 24 swings, while Tom Douglas-Powell added 11 kills on 20 swings.
 
Josh McKay had a match-high 32 assists for the Wesmen.
 
The win moves Winnipeg ahead of Brandon in the standings at 8-9. The loss drops the Bobcats to 7-10.
 
The two teams will meet again Friday night in Brandon to conclude the home and home series. First serve is scheduled for 7:45 pm.
