Box Score BRANDON - The Brandon University Bobcats made quick work of the Winnipeg Wesmen Friday night in a straight-sets victory(25-18, 25-19, 25-19).
The 'Cats out-blocked the Wesmen 10 blocks to two and outpaced their provincial rivals in their first home game since November.
Viaovai Aiono led the way for the 'Cats with 12 kills and seven digs.Â
Shanlee McLennan added 10 kills, nine digs, three blocks and a pair of services aces.Â
Fifth-year outside hitter Carleen Kruschel paced the Wesmen attack notching 11 kills and eight digs, while Hailey Buhler added eight kills and 13 digs.
The win brings Brandon's record to 14-4, the most wins in a season for the Bobcats in the team's nine-year history. The Wesmen fall to 6-12.
Up next for Brandon are the Bobcats final home regular season games of the season when they face the Trinity Western University Spartans on Friday, January 31 and February 1. The Wesmen will host the University of Calgary Dinos in what will be their final home games of the season as well.
