REGINA - The Bobcats dropped the Canada West conference season finale Friday night to the host Regina Cougars by a score of 88-58.

Reetta Tulkki had a team-leading 15 points for Brandon, which finishes the Canada West schedule with an 0-16 record and will head into the conference postseason as either the No. 16 or No. 17 seed.
Adrianna Proulx added 14 points for the Bobcats, who are assured of facing UNBC in the first round of the Canada West single-elimination playoff bracket.
Friday's game saw the Cougars jump out to a 20-5 lead through one quarter. They held a 40-23 advantage to halftime and led by as many as 35 points late before Brandon brought the eventual margin of victory down to 30.
The win pulls Regina's record up to 8-8 for the season. The Cougars were locked into third place in Canada West's East Division heading into the weekend, and now know they'll be the conference's No. 7 seed in the postseason. They've earned a bye through to the second round next Saturday, where they'll play the winner of the 10/17 matchup.
