As the Brandon University Bobcats soccer teams wrapped up their final scheduled games at HLC Field, they carry an unprecedented sense of pride into the season's final push. For the entire 2025 regular season, neither the men's nor the women's team has suffered a single loss on home turf, posting a combined and perfect 12-0-0 record in front of the Bobcat faithful.
The Bobcats Women's Soccer team has turned their home pitch into an absolute fortress. Across their six home victories this season, the team has scored an astonishing 37 goals while conceding just two—a blistering offense anchored by a rock-solid defense. This dominance was on full display in the season's final 3 home games, where they defeated CMU 7-0 and routed Assiniboine 10-0. Players like Brogan Henry, who consistently delivered goals and assists, and veteran strikers like Bien Van Berkel and Jorja Hoad set a relentless pace few opponents could match. Their most recent triumph, a 6-0 shutout of Les Rouges, showcased their championship form.
Equally impressive, the Bobcats Men's Soccer team navigated their home schedule flawlessly, securing six consecutive victories. Their brand of soccer was defined by commanding multi-goal wins and defensive resilience, including three clean sheets at home, most recently the 4-0 shutout against Les Rouges. The consistent offensive threat posed by veteran Camilo Rodriguez and young star TJ Bodunrin provided the necessary firepower, while goalkeepers Matheus Souza and Zsombor Deak backstopped a defensive unit that stood firm against every challenge at the HLC.
Both teams now face their final regular season tests. Next Saturday sees both Bobcats teams travel to face Providence University College on the road. The season culminates with a final regular season home game at Cougar Field here in Brandon against Assiniboine College.
