Russ Paddock has been named to the Class of 2025 for the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.
The inductees will be honoured on November 6 in Winnipeg at the Victoria Inn.
Paddock hails from small town Oak River and rose to volleyball stardom in 1992 when he represented Canada at the Olympics.
He became the first-ever coach of the Bobcat men's volleyball team in 2005 and led the program to national silver and bronze medals during his tenure.
Paddock later transitioned into the AD role at BU and achieved a lifelong dream in March 2025 when the Bobcats hosted and won the U SPORTS championship.
Former Winnipeg Blue Bombers kicker Troy Westwood, Team Canada softball pitcher Ashley Lanz, sport medicine leader Glen Bergeron, multi-sport builder Colonel Gary Solar and the national championship winning 1987 Lucania Football Club are also being enshrined.
