The Brandon University Bobcats men's soccer team extended its winning streak on Sunday, September 21st, with a 2-0 shutout victory over the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers. It was a tight, defensive battle at the HLC field, but the Bobcats' relentless attack in the second half proved to be the difference.

The first half was a scoreless affair, with both teams trading possession and shots, but neither able to find the back of the net. However, the Bobcats came out of the halftime break with renewed energy and purpose. The breakthrough came in the 68th minute when Camilo Rodriguez scored the go-ahead goal, assisted by Victor Lamb. Just two minutes later, Kevin Garcia solidified the lead with a goal of his own, assisted by none other than Camilo Rodriguez.

The Bobcats' defense was stout throughout the entire 90 minutes. Goaltender Matheus Souza was a brick wall, turning away all six shots on goal from the Blazers to earn the shutout and being named the Bobcats player of the game. 

With the victory, the men's team improves their record to 4-1 on the season. They will now embark on a road trip, traveling to Saint Boniface on Saturday and Providence on Sunday. The Bobcats will return home to the HLC field the weekend of October 4th and 5th.
